EI Pecom 64

The EI Pecom came in two models, the Pecom 32, with 16KByte of ROM, and the Pecom 64 with 32KByte of ROM. Both machines had 32KByte RAM. The architeture was based on the CDP1802 processor from RCA. The computer was manufactured in Yugoslavia (in what is now part of Serbia), and the manufacturer could order the CPU's directly from the USA, as Yugoslavia had a slightly better trade position than other Eastern European countries

The machine was part of a class-room push, much like what was going on in Western Europe, to get computers into the classroom. The computer was produced cheaply though, from the soldering to the power supply, everything was low quality and produced on a shoestring budget.

The machine is capable of color semi graphics using an alternate character set, and can produce 2 channel synthesized sound.
