In this episode Rick and Chris talk through recent news in the Intellivision community while working out how to do this show without Paul's constant snarkiness.  There's a Homebrew Highlight segment covering IntellivisionRevolution's Missile Domination releases and a bonus segment including the recording of news that was originally intended for episode 46.  Doesn't sound like nearly 3 hours of content, does it?

In this episode we do a Deep Dive game review of Imagic's Atlantis!  There's also an interview with programmer Patrick Ransil.  In our new Author Interview (AI) segment, we interview Retro Gaming Round Up host and author "UK" Mike James about his book, Smoke & Mirrors.  We also have a small tribute to James "Airshack" Shakel, who passed away earlier this year.  And we have a cool listener audio submission from Kevin Braun.  And there's Feedback, as well as a new Retro Hobby Projects from Rick, this time about repairing a Sega Dreamcast.  And, Paul announces that he's stepping away from the show to pursue other interests, and Rick and Chris will continue on with a different format.   Thanks for 10 years, folks!

In this episode, we have two recaps from two gaming expos: CORGS (Columbus Ohio Retro Gaming Society) in May 2022, and PRGE (Portland Retro Gaming Expo) in October 2022.  Paul and Rick attended CORGS, Chris and Rick attended PRGE.  Paul was supposed to go to PRGE, but his wife broke her arm and elbow, so plans had to be changed.  You won't find our usual show segments in this one, and still no game review for Atlantis (perhaps the game review is elusive as the fabled city?), but you will get lots of Intellivision game talk, including expo pickups and new homebrews.  Even George returns, although not necessarily in any relevant way.  Enjoy!

In this episode, we get back to a more 'traditional' format, with our Welcome, Feedback and News segments.  Lots of new Intellivision homebrews are discussed this time around.  You'll also hear about Paul's computer dying, mid-recording (yikes!), and the new Intellivision FAQ.  George returns, and we've got some fun outtakes at the end. So hop on the bus to Homebrew City and press play!

In this special Christmas episode we have no group discussion, no Feedback, no News, and no game reviews.  So why should you listen?  Because there are two great interviews; one with former Marketing Director for hardware at Mattel Electronics, Gary Moskovitz.  Another with current Art Director of Intellivision
Entertainment, Mike Dietz.  George gives us his Top 10 of the original 125 Intellivision games, and we sprinkle in some Christmas cheer, along with a special holiday message from Intellivision Entertainment CEO Tommy Tallarico.  Grab some eggnog and enjoy... oh, and also listen to the show.

In this special episode, we discuss the Portland Retro Gaming Expo 2018.  We talk about all the amazing Intellivision related things that will be there, including the new Intellivision Entertainment console reveal, and all the various Intellivision vendors, game releases and fans of the console who will be there.  Intellivision will be taking over the expo this year!  If you can make it, you won't be disappointed!  The only one who's upset about all this is George...

2017-10-03

In this 'not-so-special' (and quite short!) special episode, we discuss what's been happening, why there haven't been any new episodes for a while, and what the plan is for the podcast going forward.  George has a few things to say too...

2017-07-03

In this special episode, we reminisce about Intellivision legend Keith Robinson (Keith died on June 14th, 2017).  Rick, Paul and Cmart are joined by Scott Schreiber of the Retro Gaming Roundup Podcast, and Chris Bidwell of Now You're Playing With Podcast.  Tommy Tallarico talks to Paul about his Keith recollections, and Emily Reichbach Rosenthal (VP of Intellivision Productions) also shares her thoughts on him.  And listener Chris Dreher contributes a fun story about Mr. Robinson.  The Intellivision community has lost one of its greatest assets with Keith's passing, but join us as we celebrate what Keith has done for the Intellivision community.

Additional music used in this episode (used with permission):

"TRON 1.1" (music performed by Tom Kahelin) from the music CD Intellivision in Hi-Fi.  Based on the original music from the Disney motion picture TRON (by Wendy Carlos / Wonderland Music BMI).

"My Intellivision (1982 Mix)"  (Music & Lyrics by Tom Kahelin, vocals by Michael Schwartz) from the music CD Intellivision in Hi-Fi.

2017-05-02

In this episode we review the Mattel Electronics game Royal Dealer.  Cmart (Christian Martin) joins us again, as does George, spreading some holiday cheer in this December / Christmas / Holiday episode.  We interview former Mattel Electronics 'retail merchandiser' Ken Stefancic, and have our usual helpings of Feedback and News.  There's plenty here, even for those folks who don't care about card games (like Paul)...
