Epoch Cassette Vision

The Cassette Vision Jr. Is a cost reduced and minimized version of the Cassette Vision system. The price of this console was far lower than the original model and was designed specifically to be cheap to create market share. The Cassette Vision Jr. has most of the same features, but lacks the volume dial, and has a redesigned key layout to make playing certain games more intuitive.

Due to its price-point the Cassette Vision Jr. was relative successful, but four days before it's release, Nintendo had released the Family Computer (FamiCom). This machine quickly overtook the Cassette Vision in popularity and became the leading console in Japan.
