Fans of the Commodore 64 can enjoy “Impossible Mission Revised.” The revised game is based on the Australian version of the original 1984 game. The revised edition features platforming, adventuring, and action elements, along with the iconic digitized speech that greets players with the words, "Another visitor, stay awhile, stay forever!"

The new version fixes some nasty bugs in the code that would cause the game hang up sometimes. here are some other changes:

  • New Random Number Generator used in the game
  • Some CPU timing issues fixed
  • Game clock now correctly runs on both PAL/NTSC versions
  • Screen shake introduced after game over
  • Simplified file saving routine
  • Louder play of sampled sounds
  • Fixed graphics issues in room 15 and 20
There are many other improvements, but most of those are very technical in nature and do not change the game play.

All in all, the game itself was already close to perfect right? So not surprisingly, the game is still close to perfect. But some annoying little issues have been dealt with and some improvements make the game just that tad little smoother and more enjoyable. You can play the game online or download it so you can play it on the real hardware if you own it.
