The Sega Mega Drive Mini, or also known as the Sega Genesis Mini, is a gaming console that is modeled after the Sega Genesis. It is about half the size of the original and emulates the original's hardware using software emulation created by M2, a Japanese video game developer.
The system includes two usb controllers, a hdmi cable, and a micro USB power cable. Since the controllers use USB, players can swap the controller for their favorite USB controller or use the included controllers on another system, like Mame for the PC.
The system comes with more than 40 built in games, but the selection of these games differ per region. There is a different set of games for North America and the EU, another set for Japan, and yet another set of games for the larger Asia region. The reasons for this are of course that some games have not been translated and a full blown Japanese RPG game would probably not be of interest to the North American English speaking user. If you do want to play these games, just buy the version of the console from the region that these games are published in.
