The Playstation Classic Mini
The Playstation Classic Mini launched for $99.99. It is a new mini-console built to highlight the original Playstation that many gamers hold dear. Of course it is much smaller it it's new form, but still closely resembles the original design. The console is pre-loaded with 20 games and hit the stores on December 3rd in 2018. You can still find this device in some retail stores or online, but if you want to get your hands on a new one, you better hurry before the price will quadruple on the auction sites.
How is the experience?
When you turn on the Playstation Classic Mini, you are greeted with the classic iconic startup sound. The console does not offer any live internet connection, so it is plug and play, and the 20 included games is all you get. There are no plans to provide updates to add new games or content to the device.
Each game can support up to 15 individual memory card slots to save and load your game progress. To exit a game and go back to the main UI you simply press the reset button and the device creates a restore point so you can return to the game at the exact point where you left off.
