The Super Famicom Mini
The Super Famicom Mini is one of the many mini consoles that appear on the market these days. The Famicom Mini is intended for the Japanese market, but collectors around the world are scooping the machines up to add to their collection. In essense it is the same machine as the SNES Classic Mini, intened for the American market, but it has a different design, and a slightly different list of games.
What is it?
Let's start with the box, the design features a beautiful representation of the original console using the iconic Nintendo colors. The machine itself is much better to look at than the North-American mini. In essense it is the same mini that has been released for the European market, but where the European model has the Super Nintendo logo, this Japanese version has the Super Famicom logo.
As far as the internals of the machine, there is no difference. Of course the menu options are all in Japanese, and there is a change in the list of games. For this reason alone, you may want to consider this console.

What about loading games?
There is a tool for loading games onto the console, this is not offically endorsed or supported, but if you don't mind tinkering around a bit, you can completely replace the kernel of this machine.
The SNES Mini can be hacked using the Hakchi2 tool. Of course Retrobug does not endorse illegal software downloads or using software you don't own, but if you do have legal .rom copies of some games, check out the tool to load those games onto your Super SNES Classic Mini.
